When visiting Snohomish County, families can join events, explore new exhibits and activities, and enjoy hiking and more.
One of the places not to miss is the largest children’s museum in Washington State; the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett. This is a museum for all ages, and features plenty of hands-on exhibits that include a tree house, climbing wall, airplane, fire engine, ferry boat, and a art studio inside; so no worries about the weather. Spend the day exploring the exhibits and activities that inspire kids to learn thinking, language, physical, social, emotional and creative skills while having fun! Don't forget to visit the outdoor roof-top area, where you'll find a 30-foot Stegosaurus skeleton, look-out tower, musical stage, and play area.
Another fun place to visit is the Funtasia Fun Park in Lynnwood that has 25,000 square feet of indoor activities. Kids will love playing lazer tag, riding the bumper cars, and playing video games, as well as climbing about at the Fun Fortress Playland. The Funtasia Fun Park also has mini-Indy gas-powered Go Karts, bumper boats with water cannons, a pirate-themed miniature golf course, and nine-station baseball and softball batting cages to enjoy as well.
The Farm in Snohomish also host many events and activities. Visit the petting farm, or tee off at the 18-hole putting green golf course. Then in the Fall enjoy a wagon ride or roam the educational 12-acre Washington State Corn Maze and fall Pumpkin Patch in the Fall.
Enjoy the great outdoor at one the Snohomish County's recreation areas that include Forest Park in Everett, which is the oldest and largest park in the city. With 197 acres filled with fun for children you could spend the day at the children’s playground and visit the Animal Farm in the morning. Then later take a dip in the indoor swim center, the Water playground that features 16 interactive areas, and has a smaller water area for toddlers, or go hiking along the wooded hiking trails before a picnic lunch in the picnic areas or shelters available. There are also tennis and basketball courts so everyone can get in the game.
At McCollum Pioneer Park in Everett BMX riders will be thrilled to hit the BMX bicycle racing track in this 78-acre family-oriented park. There are walking and nature trails as well as a junior Olympic-sized, heated outdoor swimming pool, and plenty of wide open spaces with picnic tables and shelters for a family event.
