Accessibility Of A Website
Making The Internet Accessible For Every Traveler
When formatting this website, USA Travel Magazine set out to
comply to the guidelines of the Rehabilitation Act. In doing so,
we have designed this site so that every traveler, with and
without disabilities, can explore America's Backyard and Beyond.
Rehabilitation Act Compliance
Below you will find related sections of the Rehabilitation Act for
information purposes. USA Travel Magazine is not funded or
required to make this site accessible. However, we feel that
exploring unique and intriguing travel destinations across
the nation should be experienced by everyone.
In Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act it states that "no
otherwise qualified individual with a disability in the
United States ... shall, solely by reason of her or his
disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied
the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any
program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance
or under any program or activity conducted by any Executive
agency or by the United States Postal Service."
In Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act a revision was
made in 1998 that requires that all federal organizations
and organizations receiving federal funding develop,
maintain, or procure electronic or information technology
that is accessible to federal employees and members of the
public with disabilities.

To assist in making USA Travel Magazine's Text Edition
accessible the site has been tested with WAVE. This is a free
community service provided by WebAIM to evaluate the
accessibility of millions of web documents.

Tips for increasing text sizes for easier visibility
To assist travelers who would like to increase the text size
for easier visibility here are some helpful tips:
Using the Ctrl, plus +, and minus - keys to change the text.
This technique has been tested, and works in Firefox, Flock,
Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Netscape.
To increase the size of the text hold down the Ctrl Key, and
then hit the plus + or minus - key twice or until the
content is comfortably readable. To reduce the size of the
text, simple hold the Ctrl key, and press the minus - key.
You can also adjust the text in the View menu by scrolling
down to the Text Size option, and either increase or
decrease the text to suit your visual needs. The menu
choices will vary according to the browser you are using.
In Fire Fox, Flock and Google Chrome pick the Zoom option,
and zoom in or out
In Internet Explorer choose the Text Size in the View Menu,
and then you can select to change the text to largest,
large, medium, smaller or the smallest size.
